The ASUS Vivobook 16X is a midrange laptop with a large 16-inch OLED screen that offers vivid colors, making it good for general use and tasks that benefit from a high-quality display, like photo editing. It's equipped with an Intel i7 processor, 16 GB RAM, and Intel Iris Xe graphics, details which indicate that it can handle everyday tasks and even some more intensive applications, though dedicated gamers or those needing to run high-end engineering software may find it lacks the punch of a specialized gaming or engineering laptop. Battery life is reasonable, and the laptop has a quality keyboard and a decent array of ports including USB-C. Note that, at just under 4 pounds and with a thickness of 0.78 inches, it's relatively portable, but there might be lighter and thinner options if portability is your top priority. This balance of performance, display quality, and portability at a midrange price might make it a suitable choice for users with diverse needs that don't skew heavily towards the most demanding tasks. Kok Kee | February 2023
"I think the ASUS Vivobook 16X is fantastic. Great performance, decent battery life, good keyboard and trackpad, and a massive screen – just that the screen quality itself is kinda subpar. If you’re okay with the screen, then I think this is an okay laptop. However, I’d like to see a price drop."
