If you're on a tight budget and want to save a little, the Amazon 4-Series could be your choice, but be aware that the picture quality is not optimal in brightly lit rooms. For general viewing, the TCL S435 provides slightly better performance, although it's not ideal for sports or video games. Both TVs have similar poor marks for use as a monitor or for gaming, but the Amazon 4-Series manages reflections a bit more effectively if glare is a concern. The TCL S435 has some advantage for cartoons and animation, and its sound quality is judged very poor. Neither TV stands out for high dynamic range (HDR) content, with limited support and unimpressive HDR performance. Both have fair upscaling ability to improve lower-resolution content but expect less vibrant colors and contrast from both models.
