The Acer Nitro 5 15 is a lower midrange priced gaming laptop that offers a balance between performance and cost. It has a robust Intel i5 processor and Nvidia RTX 4050 graphics card which make it suitable for gaming, 3D rendering, and machine learning tasks. The model includes 512GB of storage and 16GB of RAM. The 15.6-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, and a high refresh rate, supports smoother visuals in games but doesn't have a touchscreen. It is designed with gaming in mind, as suggested by its dedicated gaming laptop appearance. It comes with Windows 11 Home, and various ports including USB-C, HDMI, and Ethernet. Its weight is moderate, so it isn't the lightest for travel, but it has a battery life that supports several hours of typical use. Key features like hardware ray tracing, DLSS, a backlit keyboard with number pad, and expandable RAM and storage slots make it future-proof. Be aware that the screen might not be the best for color work due to the less than ideal color space coverage. It's a good fit for users who need decent performance for gaming and other demanding tasks without going to the high end of laptop prices. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Sascha Mölck | June 2022
"The Acer Nitro 5 is a fast QHD gaming notebook. The Nitro 5 is a well-balanced gaming laptop for just under US$ 2400. A Core i7-12700H CPU and a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU enable QHD gaming at high to maximum settings, accompanied by fast PCIe-4-SSD (1 TB) and 16 GB of RAM. Acer delivers a solid QHD gaming notebook with the Nitro 5 AN515-58. However, the laptop is not completely free of shortcomings. The CPU and GPU can work at consistently high clock rates. The laptop heats up noticeably under load, but not excessively. Noise development is on the usual class level. Once again, however, Acer needs to improve the fan control."
