The Apple MacBook Pro 16 (Late 2023) is a high-end device with a significant price tag. It boasts an Apple M3 Pro main processor and integrated GPU, suitable for demanding engineering tasks, 3D rendering, and machine learning applications. With a large Mini LED display featuring a high resolution, it provides excellent screen quality, which enhances the visual experience, though it lacks touch capability. The model offers substantial storage and is equipped with an impressive amount of RAM. Additionally, it presents strong battery life, a sleek build, and advanced features like facial recognition and a fingerprint reader for added security. However, the laptop is relatively heavy, impacting its portability. It includes multiple Thunderbolt ports but not a dedicated HDMI or Ethernet port, which may require adapters for certain peripherals. The absence of an HDMI port is mitigated by the presence of other display outputs. If portability and price are less of a concern and you prioritize performance and screen quality for professional or creative work, the MacBook Pro 16 (Late 2023) might be an appropriate choice. Andreas Osthoff | February 2023
"The Apple MacBook Pro 16 2023: M2 Max challenges GeForce RTX 3080 Ti. The new MacBook Pro 16 2023 with the M2 Max SoC is the most powerful laptop Apple has on sale right now. While we do not get the expected performance and efficiency improvements from completely new 3 nm chips, which we expected ahead of the launch, the 2023 model is still a solid update. The CPU of the M2 Max can be up to 20 % faster than the old model and we also see an advantage of 25-30 % for the GPU with 38 cores. However, both components also consume more power, so the efficiency did not change that much under maximum load."
