The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is an upper midrange laptop with a robust build, tailored for gaming and performance-heavy tasks. It features a high-end Intel i9 processor and an Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti graphics card, making it ideal for 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering software. It has a good amount of storage and RAM, enhancing its multitasking and fast-loading capabilities. The screen is sizeable with a high refresh rate, contributing to a smooth viewing experience in fast-paced games or videos; however, its color accuracy and brightness are moderate, which may not be ideal for professionals who need exceptionally accurate color reproduction. It’s equipped with a gaming-centric build quality and design, a comfortable keyboard with a numeric keypad, and diverse ports for peripheral connectivity. Additionally, GPU features like hardware ray tracing and DLSS support imply better graphic fidelity in supported games. As expected for a gaming laptop, it has a limited battery life, and at over 5 pounds, it is less portable compared to ultrabooks. Hence, this laptop is well-suited for users who prioritize performance and gaming over portability and extended battery life. Give Feedback

Vaidyanathan Subramaniam | May 2022
"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."
