The Eluktronics RP-15 is a midrange gaming laptop with an AMD Ryzen 7 processor and Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU, aimed at high performance in 3D rendering, machine learning, and gaming. It offers a 15.6-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2560x1440, a high refresh rate for smooth visuals, and solid color coverage, making it suitable for content creation and engineering tasks that benefit from accurate colors. However, with a weight of nearly 5 pounds and a battery life suited for limited on-the-go use, it's not the most portable option. It's well-suited for intensive gaming and engineering but might be more than needed for general use. Give Feedback

Engineering & Design:
4.5
The Eluktronics RP-15 is well-suited for engineering and design tasks because it is equipped with a robust AMD Ryzen CPU and Nvidia GPU, which are crucial for running complex simulations and rendering tasks efficiently. The laptop's high-resolution IPS screen offers clear and accurate color representation, which is essential for precise design work.
Gaming, 3D & AI:
4.4
PerfectRec’s Gaming and 3D Score strongly emphasizes graphics processing capability as well as general performance, while also taking into account other factors that impact suitability for gaming and 3D work. While performance (especially graphics performance) is the most important factor determining this score, we also give modest weight to screen quality, heat management, keyboard quality, and storage.
General Use Screen Quality:
4.4
The general use screen score is based on the screen technology, contrast ratio, resolution, brightness, color gamut and color accuracy. This score does not take into account specialized display features for specific use cases, such as high refresh rate for gaming.

Keyboard quality, speaker quality, low fan noise, heat management, and to a lesser extent webcam quality are all moderately important factors for this score.
Keyboard Quality:
4.2
The Keyboard Quality score is based on the PerfectRec experts’ assessment of tactile feedback, typing comfort, keyboard reliability and typing noise.
Build Quality:
4.1
PerfectRec’s Build Quality Score incorporates case materials, display and keyboard flex, hinge quality, chassis rigidity, and overall reliability. Our assessment of build quality includes many details that are difficult to quantify. Our laptop experts use their best judgment to produce the final score.
Battery Life:
4.0
PerfectRec’s Battery Life rating is based on hours of battery life in typical usage scenarios.
Operating Noise:

Eber Anthony | October 2020
"To conclude, I’m genuinely impressed with Eluktronics and what they have been able to deliver with the RP-15. You see this is all about maximizing performance, cooling, and giving users the most flexible I/O, and then wrapping it into a chassis that doesn’t feel super cheap. Let’s also not forget the price point, I think they have really nailed it in that department."
