The HP Envy x360 15" is a 2-in-1 convertible laptop, so it works both as a laptop and a tablet, offering flexibility if you like touchscreen capabilities or need a device that can double as a tablet. It has a lower midrange price and is quite light, which makes it easily portable. With an AMD Ryzen 5 processor and integrated Vega 7 graphics, it can handle general use like browsing, office tasks, and light multimedia creation but may not be best suited for intensive gaming or engineering software. The battery life is decent for typical usage, and the build quality is good. If your tasks are more demanding in 3D or machine learning applications, you may find its performance limited. The keyboard and webcam quality are marked as good, and it has a backlit keyboard with a number pad for easier typing in low light conditions. It also features a solid heat management system for sustained use. Give Feedback

Engineering & Design:
3.5
The HP Envy x360 15" has a capable AMD Ryzen 5 processor and 8 GB of RAM with integrated Vega 7 graphics, which can handle engineering software but may struggle with more demanding tasks and complex designs. The IPS screen offers good color coverage for design work, but the relatively low DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB color space coverage could limit color accuracy for professionals.

3.4
The general use screen score is based on the screen technology, contrast ratio, resolution, brightness, color gamut and color accuracy. This score does not take into account specialized display features for specific use cases, such as high refresh rate for gaming.
Gaming & AI:
3.0
The HP Envy x360 15" has integrated graphics which are decent but not optimal for high-end gaming or detailed 3D work, and its screen refresh rate is standard at 60Hz, which is fine for casual gaming but not for competitive or fast-paced gaming scenarios. Additionally, its screen quality, while clear with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, has moderate color coverage which is acceptable for general use but may not be sufficient for tasks that require precise color accuracy.

CNET

Matt Elliott | January 2023
"Despite its good looks, stellar webcam and comfortable keyboard, the Envy x360 15 is hard to recommend because of its dim, 16:9 display. If the display isn't an issue for you, just be sure to wait for a good sale price. Otherwise, a more modern two-in-one with a 16:10 display such as the Dell Inspiron 16 2-in-1 or Lenovo Yoga 7i 16 provides a larger workspace without adding much to the size and weight of the system."
