The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15" is a budget-friendly laptop suitable for general use, featuring an Intel i3 processor, integrated Intel UHD graphics, and 8 GB of RAM. It comes with 256 GB of storage and a 15.6-inch TN display with a resolution that is lower than Full HD. While it does have a touchscreen, the visual experience may not be as sharp or vibrant compared to laptops with higher resolution or IPS panels. This laptop is not designed for intensive gaming, 3D rendering, or engineering work, as its GPU and CPU are more modest. The IdeaPad has a decent array of ports but lacks USB-C or Thunderbolt connectivity. It has a numeric keypad but no backlit keyboard. With a weight of around 3.75 pounds and a stated battery life for typical use, it offers moderate portability. If your usage mainly involves web browsing, office applications, and media consumption, this could be a practical option, especially if you're looking for a machine at a lower price point. General Use:
3.3
The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15" is equipped with basic components suitable for everyday tasks such as browsing and office applications, but its screen resolution and battery life are limited, making it less ideal for extensive multimedia use or long periods away from a power source. With modest CPU and RAM, it adequately handles routine activities despite its limitations in screen quality and endurance, defining its fair assessment for general use.
Gaming, 3D & AI:
3.0
The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15" is not ideal for gaming and 3D applications because it comes with an integrated Intel UHD Xe G4 graphics chip, which lacks the power of a dedicated GPU necessary for such tasks, and its screen has a maximum refresh rate of just 60Hz, which means it cannot display the higher frame rates that gamers typically seek for a smooth experience.

NotebookCheck

Sascha Mölck | February 2023
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 is an enduring office notebook with a powerful Ryzen APU. Lenovo's office all-rounder easily handles office and internet applications as well as modest games - the Ryzen 5 5625U APU and 16 GB of RAM make this possible. The CPU and GPU can work at consistently high clock rates. The emission values are okay, but the noise emissions should be lower under medium to full load. The relatively light notebook (approx. 1.6 kg) achieves practical battery runtimes of about 10 to 11 hours."
