The Lenovo ThinkPad T14 is a midrange, premium business laptop that combines strong performance with high durability and good build quality, making it well-suited for general use and engineering tasks. It is equipped with robust AMD Ryzen 7 processing power, ample 32 GB of RAM, and a capable AMD Radeon GPU, which means it will handle most tasks effectively, including 3D rendering and machine learning, though it may not be the best for intensive gaming despite decent graphics capabilities. The display has a 16:10 aspect ratio, offering more vertical space, and delivers good color accuracy and brightness; however, it is not a touchscreen. Its 39.3 Wh battery supports about 9 hours of typical use, making it fairly portable given its weight of around 3 pounds, with a respectable balance between performance and mobility. It has a backlit keyboard, a fingerprint reader, and a variety of ports including USB-C with charging support, but lacks Thunderbolt. If you require extensive I/O connectivity or advanced features like facial recognition, this laptop has them. It was released in January 2023, ensuring modern hardware and features. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Benjamin Herzig | December 2023
"We like a lot about this laptop. It has many ports, with the inclusion of RJ45-Ethernet as a defining feature. WWAN is upgradable for maximum flexibility and the ThinkPad has many security functions. Working with the ThinkPad input devices is a lot of fun, and Lenovo puts in a serviceable Low Power panel. The AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 7840U delivers a great performance and does not drain the battery fast. Fan noise and temperatures are nothing special, but also far away from bad. With the user replaceable keyboard, the ThinkPad T14 Gen 4 has a special feature rarely present on most modern laptops."
