The Lenovo ThinkPad X13 is a midrange-priced laptop that offers a solid balance of performance and portability, making it suitable for business users and general use. It's equipped with ample storage and high memory capacity, powered by a robust AMD Ryzen processor paired with an AMD Radeon GPU, which provides good general and engineering performance but only fair capability for 3D rendering and machine learning tasks, so it's less ideal for intensive graphics applications. The battery life is decent, accommodating typical usage well. Its 13.3-inch IPS touchscreen with a 16:10 aspect ratio and good color coverage delivers a pleasant viewing experience for daily tasks. The laptop's build quality is rated very good, with excellent keyboard quality and the best webcam quality enhancing its appeal for professionals on the go. As for connectivity, it has multiple USB-C ports, but it lacks Thunderbolt support which may limit high-speed peripheral connections. It is relatively lightweight, enhancing its portability. The ThinkPad X13 also features a backlit keyboard, fingerprint reader, and facial recognition, adding to its security features, but it does not have a dedicated number pad. Overall, it's not designed for intensive gaming despite hardware ray tracing and DLSS not being supported. If battery life, portability, and a balance of performance are priorities, the ThinkPad X13 is a solid choice. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Benjamin Herzig | September 2023
"The Lenovo ThinkPad X13 G4 has very good input devices, a wide array of security features and ports as well as 5G in the tested configuration. It is more compact and lightweight compared with its predecessor, and it has improved speakers and a slightly better webcam. On the other hand, the fan is more annoying and the performance is barely improved. The battery is worse as well, but this is primarily attributable to the OLED screen - if this aspect is important, buyers should choose the IPS Low Power LCD."
