The Gigabyte M28U with an IPS panel is in the upper midrange price bracket. It has a large 28-inch screen with a crisp 4K resolution, making it suitable for productivity tasks and media consumption. With a high refresh rate and variable refresh rate (VRR) support, it provides a smooth experience for casual gaming. It offers good color accuracy and is appropriate for digital photo editing. However, for competitive gaming, there may be some ghosting due to its response time, and it's not the best choice for HDR gaming or HDR video editing since its HDR brightness isn't top-tier. The monitor has a matte coating to reduce glare and plenty of connectivity options, including HDMI 2.1 ports, which is great for newer gaming consoles. An adjustable stand adds to its ergonomic flexibility. Overall, the Gigabyte M28U is well-rounded and particularly strong in areas like productivity and casual gaming. Give Feedback

PC Gamer

Jacob Ridley | January 2022
"Fundamentally the M28U is an impressive 4K monitor; between the resolution, refresh rate, and IPS panel, it's a great all-rounder for the step up to 4K. Even beyond PC gaming, the inclusion of a HDMI 2.1 port offers 120Hz gaming for consoles, so it's quite the multi-faceted package for its price. Gigabyte has made no major sacrifice to tick all the checkboxes with the M28U."
