However, if you prioritize sound quality and are using them mostly for music in environments where you don't need noise cancellation, the AKG K361 headphones offer better sound reproduction but lack wireless features and active noise cancellation. The A40's are more portable given their earbud form factor, and they also support LDAC for high-resolution audio streaming over Bluetooth, which the AKG K361 doesn't, as they are wired headphones. "The K361 retains much of what makes the K371 such a winner, though it has a leaner sound, and the build changes made to trim the price down are immediately apparent. Still, it’s another excellent offering from AKG, and other companies in this fight should either be very worried or quickly designing updates to their old models."

The baseline frequency response is enjoyable, and the many EQ presets to choose from plus the ability to customize your sound profile makes it good for pretty much anyone.
