The Acer Aspire 1 is more budget-friendly with respectable performance for general use and a fanless design for silent operation. However, its lower storage and memory, basic Intel graphics, and TN display panel with average resolution may limit performance and visual quality, making it less suitable for tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, or engineering. In contrast, the ASUS Vivobook 16X, while more expensive, offers a significant bump in power with an Intel i7 processor and Nvidia graphics, increased storage and memory, and a higher quality IPS display with a better refresh rate and resolution. This makes it more suitable for intensive tasks including gaming, but at the cost of a higher price and potentially reduced portability due to its larger size and weight. Give Feedback

CNET

Joshua Goldman | May 2020
"There are no surprises and nothing's extraordinary here but this laptop's price. For those in need of an inexpensive Windows laptop for undemanding tasks, though, the Acer Aspire 1 offers just enough to get the basics done and a larger screen to do them on."

Kok Kee | February 2023
"I think the ASUS Vivobook 16X is fantastic. Great performance, decent battery life, good keyboard and trackpad, and a massive screen – just that the screen quality itself is kinda subpar. If you’re okay with the screen, then I think this is an okay laptop. However, I’d like to see a price drop."
