The ASUS TUF Gaming A16 is generally less expensive and boasts greater 3D and engineering performance, making it suitable for gaming and intensive tasks; it also has a higher refresh rate display which is good for fast-paced visuals. However, the Lenovo Flex 5 14 offers more storage and flexibility with its touchscreen and is more portable due to its lighter weight, while also having a slightly better battery life. The Lenovo Flex 5 would be a better fit for general use and portability, while the ASUS TUF Gaming A16 is tailored more towards gaming and performance-focused engineering tasks. Give Feedback

The ASUS TUF Gaming A16 has a better screen than the Lenovo Flex 5 14 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The ASUS TUF Gaming A16 offers a good balance of resolution, brightness, and panel type for everyday tasks and detailed engineering work, but its lower refresh rate can be a drawback for 3D applications and gaming where fluid visuals are crucial. The Lenovo Flex 5 14, with fair screen characteristics, is adequate for general use and can handle engineering design, but the same limitations make it less ideal for gaming and 3D content where higher refresh rates are valued. Both laptops might not fully satisfy gamers or professionals in 3D fields due to screen quality compromises but handle general use and engineering tasks competently.

How the ASUS TUF Gaming A16 and the Lenovo Flex 5 14 compare to other laptops
"The A16 makes an excellent case against more expensive laptops like the Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 and the MSI Katana GF76, especially if you’re into 1080p gaming. However, although its affordable, it doesn’t skimp on performance or a robust chassis. But for me, the biggest factor that sets it apart from these options is its incredible battery life. In my time reviewing laptops, I can’t remember when I last saw a gaming laptop lasted 11 and a half hours on a single charge, which makes the A16, in my book, truly outstanding."
"The highlight of the latest IdeaPad Flex 5 14 is clearly its AMD CPU. The octa-core Ryzen 7 5700U is insanely fast even when compared to the best Tiger Lake Ultrabooks in the market or even Core H CPUs in many gaming laptops. It's a lot of raw processing power for what is supposed to be a budget 14-inch convertible. If your daily workloads can benefit from extra multi-thread CPU performance, then look no further than the inexpensive AMD-powered Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 14. For regular on-the-road browsing or video streaming, however, a slimmer and lighter 10th gen Core Yoga, Spectre, or XPS would be a more balanced option."
