If you prefer a higher-quality camera and are willing to pay a premium, the iPhone 14 Pro Max offers significantly better photography capabilities. However, the Samsung Galaxy A53, while more affordable, has a longer battery life due to its larger capacity. The iPhone boasts a larger and higher resolution screen which may enhance your viewing experience; if screen size is less of a priority and cost-saving is more important to you, then the Galaxy A53's slightly smaller screen should suffice. The iPhone operates on iOS and the Galaxy on Android, which could influence your decision based on your preferred ecosystem. Additionally, if a robust construction is a priority, the iPhone's glass build is more premium compared to the plastic build of the Galaxy A53. Give Feedback

Pocket-lint

Britta O'Boyle | March 2023
"The Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max is not just big in form, it's big in character. There's a refreshed design that's really striking, especially in this larger format, coupled with performance enhancements, battery improvements, camera improvements, the Always-On Display and the Dynamic Island feature. It will be too big for some, but if you're looking for the best iPhone Apple has made to date in the biggest possible format, the iPhone 14 Pro Max is definitely the one - it is excellent."

Android Authority

Ryan Haines | May 2023
"Samsung’s quartet of rear cameras delivers the goods, both day and night, with the only blemish being the lack of 4K/60fps video recording. The large, 6.5-inch, 120Hz AMOLED display is crisp and smooth, making video streaming enjoyable. You should have no issues pushing the 5,000mAh battery to its limits and it’s not too slow to charge relative to its competitors in the US."
