If budget is your main concern, the Amazon 4-Series offers a more affordable option, allowing you to save money. However, the LG A2 OLED provides a significantly better viewing experience, especially in dark rooms where its excellent black levels and contrast stand out, making it ideal for movies and series. The LG A2 also performs better for gaming and watching sports. It has superior picture quality in both dark and bright rooms, and overall has better sound and build quality. Keep in mind, though, if the TV will be used in a very bright room, the Amazon 4-Series has a fair performance in brightness, which may suffice in this setting. Additionally, OLED technology, seen in the LG A2, is prone to permanent burn-in, which could be a concern if static elements are displayed for extended periods, while the LED of the Amazon 4-Series does not have this risk. The decision ultimately hinges on whether you prioritize cost savings or a higher quality viewing experience. Give Feedback

Tech Advisor

Jim Martin | May 2023
"The attraction here is that the 4-Series uses Amazon’s Fire TV interface. Picture quality is good but unexceptional. At the discounted prices, which can seemingly be had regularly, they are better value."

Techradar

Al Griffin | August 2022
"Movie fans will find a lot here to love, and the A2 series’ low prices compared with other OLED TVs will keep their wallets happy. Images had the deep blacks and detailed shadows typical of the best 4K TVs, while colors looked both fully saturated and clean. Also, the A2’s out-of-box picture performance in Filmmaker mode was mostly accurate, requiring only slight adjustments to optimize brightness, color, and contrast."
