The LG B2 is generally less expensive and offers slightly better overall picture quality, excelling particularly in gaming experience with its low response time and low input lag, making it a strong choice for gamers. It also delivers a high-quality experience for movies and sports, and its bright room performance is solid, though not exceptional. The Sony A80K, while more expensive, has great sound quality built-in, potentially negating the need for a separate sound system. However, its bright room performance isn't as strong as the B2. It also offers an excellent experience for movies and sports, but gamers might notice slightly less responsiveness than with the B2. In summary, if you prioritize gaming and are looking to save some money, the LG B2 could be the better choice. However, if inbuilt sound quality is essential and the budget permits, the Sony A80K may be more suitable, despite its higher price and marginally lower bright room performance. Give Feedback

Tom's guide

Nick Pino | March 2023
"The LG B2 OLED pairs lush, saturated colors and perfect contrast with a 120Hz screen, HDMI 2.1 ports and a great smart TV platform. The LG B2 OLED is an ideal alternative to the LG C2 OLED for folks who want a taste of OLED life without the sticker price that usually comes with it. The LG B2 OLED does a lot right in terms of performance, color saturation is wonderful and contrast is second-to-none. Not only did color saturation and off-axis viewing impress me, harder to quantify specs like motion processing and upscaling really blew me away as well."

USA Today

Michael Desjardin | December 2022
"It’s a high-end TV through and through something that becomes clear the moment you glance at its stunning picture. The A80K’s surgically precise contrast control is likely the first thing you’ll notice about its picture ... every piece of content looks better when this amount of precision is available. Color accuracy is another strong suit; the A80K features fantastic out-of-the-box color accuracy in the Custom picture mode."
