If picture quality is a priority and you enjoy gaming, the TCL R648 would be the better choice, offering good overall picture quality, especially for cartoons and animation, and very good gaming performance. This TV is also better suited for well-lit rooms. However, it comes at a premium price. In contrast, the Toshiba C350LU comes at a budget price with generally poorer picture quality across various content types, but with exceptional color accuracy out of the box. If cost savings are a primary concern and you mainly watch casual content like news in a relatively dim environment, the Toshiba might suit your needs.
