The Acer Aspire 1 is significantly less expensive and offers a larger screen size, making it a budget-friendly option for general use. However, it comes with a less powerful Intel Celeron processor, lesser storage and RAM, and a lower-quality TN display, which could make it less suitable for intensive tasks or high-quality media consumption. On the other hand, the Dell Inspiron 14 7435 is more expensive but provides a powerful AMD Ryzen processor, more storage and RAM, a better IPS touchscreen display and a higher battery capacity, making it more suitable for performance-oriented tasks such as 3D work, machine learning, and engineering. The Dell model also includes features like a backlit keyboard and fingerprint reader for added convenience. Consider your needs and budget carefully: if you need performance and features, the Dell Inspiron is the better choice, but if you need a budget-friendly device for basic tasks, the Acer Aspire 1 will suffice. Joshua Goldman | May 2020
"There are no surprises and nothing's extraordinary here but this laptop's price. For those in need of an inexpensive Windows laptop for undemanding tasks, though, the Acer Aspire 1 offers just enough to get the basics done and a larger screen to do them on."

PCMag

Eric Grevstad | August 2023
"We see no shame in an economy laptop missing the four-star mark. Frankly, we considered giving the Inspiron 14 2-in-1 three-and-a-half stars for its low price, competitive performance, and long battery life. Unfortunately, working with a screen that can't deliver at least 300 nits of brightness is simply no fun to the point of detrimental. Still, if you're looking for a convertible laptop on a tight budget, it's worth keeping an eye on Dell's sales and discounts. That Lavender Blue model is fairly tempting."
