The MacBook Air is known for its light design and long battery life, making it ideal for everyday use and travel; however, it's not typically the best for intensive tasks like gaming or engineering software. The ThinkPad, on the other hand, often has more customization options and ports, and its sturdy build suits professionals who need a reliable machine for multitasking and more demanding applications. Remember, also, that the operating system differs: the MacBook runs macOS, while the ThinkPad uses Windows, which could influence your software choices and user experience. Make sure to consider which system better fits your workflow and software needs. Give Feedback

The Apple MacBook Air 15 has a better screen than the Lenovo ThinkPad T14 for general use, AI, and engineering and design, while the Lenovo ThinkPad T14 has a better screen for content creation, and software development.
The MacBook Air with its high-resolution display and excellent brightness offers a sharp, vivid viewing experience for everyday tasks, while its wide color gamut ensures accurate color representation crucial for engineering and design work. However, its lower refresh rate can be a downside for 3D applications where smoother visuals are essential. The ThinkPad T14, while offering good resolution and sufficient brightness for general tasks, also provides decent color accuracy for professionals, but like the MacBook, falls short for gaming and 3D due to a less than optimal refresh rate.

How the Apple MacBook Air 15 (2023) and the Lenovo ThinkPad T14 compare to other laptops
"The Apple MacBook Air 15 is boringly good. The new MacBook Air 15 is a very good, but also boring device, because apart from the larger screen and the higher price, there are no differences compared to the smaller MacBook Air M2 from last year. No new processor, no additional ports, just the usual basic hardware - but the overall package is extremely good and it simply works. Above all, the lack of fans is an aspect that should not be underestimated in everyday use. In our opinion, the Air could be a lot better, but Apple goes easy on itself here."
"We like a lot about this laptop. It has many ports, with the inclusion of RJ45-Ethernet as a defining feature. WWAN is upgradable for maximum flexibility and the ThinkPad has many security functions. Working with the ThinkPad input devices is a lot of fun, and Lenovo puts in a serviceable Low Power panel. The AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 7840U delivers a great performance and does not drain the battery fast. Fan noise and temperatures are nothing special, but also far away from bad. With the user replaceable keyboard, the ThinkPad T14 Gen 4 has a special feature rarely present on most modern laptops."
