The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 is more portable and offers a touchscreen, suitable for general use and decent performance in daily tasks, whilst the IdeaPad 5 Pro, although slightly bulkier with no touchscreen, provides stronger performance, particularly for 3D rendering, machine learning, or engineering tasks due to its more powerful processor and dedicated graphics. Both have similar battery life and are in the same price range. The IdeaPad 5 Pro's screen is also sharper and has a higher refresh rate, making it better for fast motion visuals, which can be beneficial for gaming or video editing. Give Feedback

The Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Pro has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
For general use, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" offers just the essentials with an acceptable resolution and brightness to manage day-to-day tasks, whereas the IdeaPad 5 Pro has a higher resolution and brighter display, making it more comfortable for longer use. In engineering and design, the IdeaPad 5 Pro is preferable for its superior color accuracy and wider range of colors, aiding in more precise work, but neither laptop is ideal for color-critical tasks due to limited coverage of professional color gamuts. When it comes to 3D and gaming, both laptops fall short due to modest refresh rates and resolutions, with the IdeaPad 5 Pro having a slight edge because of its better display quality, but still not reaching the higher standards set by specialized gaming laptops.

How the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" and the Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Pro compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is affordable and pretty efficient. At the end of the day, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 (15″, 2023) is one of the better affordable laptops money can buy right now. It has a decent performance, albeit coming from a CPU that is based on old architecture. Playing low-intensity games is possible but at low to medium settings. We are really happy with the cooling setup, but the main event here is the battery life. We got 9 hours of either Web browsing or video playback, which is a great result. Especially if you compare this device with the ASUS E410."
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Pro turns out a successful all-rounder that, aside from 3D applications, always strikes a good or very good figure. This begins with the elegant metal case that isn't particularly light but fairly robust, giving a high-quality impression. The input devices are also better than those of many competitors. Both the keyboard and the touchpad are attractive and comfortable. In addition, the performance of the Ryzen 5 6600HS is easily able to keep up with the Intel competitors."
