If you often watch movies or play games in a dark room, the Hisense U6K has better picture quality for these environments with local dimming to enhance contrast, although still with limitations in bright rooms. On the other hand, if you're looking for a TV for general use in a well-lit room, the Hisense R6G performs fairly, but its bright room performance is not ideal. Neither TV is optimal for gaming, but the U6K does offer slightly better input lag and response time if that's a priority. The U6K also provides more HDMI ports, which could be handy if you plan to connect multiple devices. Both TVs support HDR, but only the R6G supports Dolby Vision, which can enhance the viewing experience for content mastered in this format. The speakers and sound quality are similar, so if audio is a concern, an external sound system would be beneficial for either choice. Give Feedback

About Hisense

Hisense, a Chinese TV manufacturer, entered the US market in approximately 2011 and has since acquired TV divisions from various companies such as Toshiba, Sharp, Hitachi, and NEC. Currently ranking as the fourth largest vendor in terms of sales volume, Hisense aims to capture a wide range of TV budget segments. They offer exceptional value with TVs that often outperform their competitors at similar price points, making them a compelling choice for consumers. In the US, they use Google TV as their smart TV software which provides the largest app selection and a very modern user interface, however it is not as user friendly as the software from other vendors.
