The Insignia F30 is a budget option that is generally less expensive, better for cartoons and animation, and has low input lag, making it suitable for casual gaming. However, it struggles in dark rooms due to low contrast. The Vizio V-Series '22 costs more but offers better overall picture quality, including improved dark room and bright room performance, and supports advanced HDR formats like Dolby Vision. If you're looking for a better viewing experience for movies or in varying lighting conditions and can afford to spend more, the Vizio V-Series '22 would be the better choice. Give Feedback

Tom's guide

Michael Gowan | August 2021
"Still one of the best bargain TVs. The best feature remains its quick and responsive implementation of Fire TV OS and all the goodies that come with it. Having Alexa inside the Insignia 4K Ultra HD Fire TV Edition brings a lot of value, from voice control of TV functions to access to your smart home devices."

About Insignia

Insignia is an in-house brand from BestBuy. It offers a range of TV sets that are lower-end and smaller size. They are manufactured in China by Hisense, which is another TV brand. Insignia TVs use Amazon's Fire OS as the smart TV software, providing users with a highly user-friendly experience.

About Vizio

Vizio is an American company. While they initially gained recognition for offering budget-friendly TVs, they have successfully expanded their product lineup to include high-end options as well. They manufacture TVs primarily in Mexico, China, and Vietnam. Similar to many Korean TV brands, Vizio developed its own smart TV software called SmartCast. In the past, SmartCast was not the best smart TV software, but it has evolved so that it is now good for using your TV and connecting to streaming services.
