If you're on a tight budget and want to save money, the Insignia F30 might be appealing, but it generally offers poor picture quality across various content types, which could be disappointing whether you're watching movies, playing games, or viewing sports, and it isn't the best choice for a bright room. Alternatively, the Vizio V-Series costs a bit more but provides better contrast and is suitable for watching cartoons and animation. It also has HDR10, Dolby Vision, and HLG support, leading to potentially more vibrant colors when watching HDR content. However, it's important to note that neither television excels in gaming or in very bright room conditions. Choose the Vizio for slightly better quality and HDR support, or the Insignia if upfront cost is your primary concern and you mainly watch news or use it in a darker environment where its flaws are less noticeable. CNET

Geoffrey Morrison | June 2021
"Vizio's cheapest 4K HDR TV packs in a lot for a low price. The voice control via the remote works well, about as well as Roku's version on devices that have it. So if you know your way around a TV menu, or want to be able to dial in the picture even on an inexpensive TV, the Vizio is the better choice"

About Insignia

Insignia is an in-house brand from BestBuy. It offers a range of TV sets that are lower-end and smaller size. They are manufactured in China by Hisense, which is another TV brand. Insignia TVs use Amazon's Fire OS as the smart TV software, providing users with a highly user-friendly experience.

About Vizio

Vizio is an American company. While they initially gained recognition for offering budget-friendly TVs, they have successfully expanded their product lineup to include high-end options as well. They manufacture TVs primarily in Mexico, China, and Vietnam. Similar to many Korean TV brands, Vizio developed its own smart TV software called SmartCast. In the past, SmartCast was not the best smart TV software, but it has evolved so that it is now good for using your TV and connecting to streaming services.
