If you prefer stronger contrast for deeper blacks in your movies and general viewing, the Hisense R6G might be the better choice, though it struggles in bright rooms due to lower brightness. Conversely, if saving money is a top priority and you plan to use your TV in a well-lit room, the Insignia F30 might be more appealing, but be aware it generally offers lower picture quality. Neither are particularly suitable for gaming with high responsiveness or bright HDR content. If sound is important to you, the Insignia does include Dolby Atmos support, which the Hisense lacks. About Hisense

Hisense, a Chinese TV manufacturer, entered the US market in approximately 2011 and has since acquired TV divisions from various companies such as Toshiba, Sharp, Hitachi, and NEC. Currently ranking as the fourth largest vendor in terms of sales volume, Hisense aims to capture a wide range of TV budget segments. They offer exceptional value with TVs that often outperform their competitors at similar price points, making them a compelling choice for consumers. In the US, they use Google TV as their smart TV software which provides the largest app selection and a very modern user interface, however it is not as user friendly as the software from other vendors.

About Insignia

Insignia is an in-house brand from BestBuy. It offers a range of TV sets that are lower-end and smaller size. They are manufactured in China by Hisense, which is another TV brand. Insignia TVs use Amazon's Fire OS as the smart TV software, providing users with a highly user-friendly experience.
